I'll be the first to admit that I was surprised by how much I really liked Berlin. I knew that I had wanted to travel to Germany but I didn't quite know exactly where I should go. Luckily, one of my friends from studying abroad lives right outside of the city and was able to show me around her hometown! These are some of her suggestions of what to see around Berlin!

Here are some of my favorite places that I would recommend you visiting in Berlin!

Worried about how to make it around Berlin? It is important to consider transportation options!

Bus/Tram

There are two main differences between the bus system in Berlin -

1) Metro - Buses/Trams with the letter 'M' on them are considered Metro buses that typical run more frequently.

2) Express - Usually have an 'X' on them.

Train

While there aren't any trains that go within Berlin, using trains are a great way to explore Germany and other surrounding countries!

Uber/Taxi

Uber is available in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, and Munich. There are also taxis.

Walking

I am always so surprised at how much walking I end up doing when exploring Europe and Berlin was no exception! Personally, I love walking around a city as I feel I can explore the little side streets more easily than if I were in a car/bus.
